Alexandra RussellWHO am I? My name is Alex Russell, and I'm in third year Math Studies. My experience includes being Chair of the Women in Math Undergrad Committee, Coordinator for Orientation Week '09, Head Leader for Orientation Week '10, Exec for UW World Vision Club, MathSoc Office Worker, Assistant Director for the semi-annual "Think About Math!" Conference, Advocate for UW International Health Development Association, and MathSoc First Year Affairs Board Member, as well as being a member of various clubs and groups on campus. WHERE will I be representing you? I will represent you on the Federation of Students' Council. "The purpose of the Students' Council is to uphold the goals of the Federation of Students under its Charter and its by-laws, and to establish policies of the Corporation." Councillors are here to communicate your needs to your student government and to keep you informed of what's happening in FEDS. As your math Councillor, that is exactly what I will do for you! You can expect a website and Facebook group to keep you informed and monthly updates in MathNEWS. And of course, you're always welcome to talk to me in person! WHY vote for Alex?
