Federation of Students Elections

I am currently in first year and pursuing a double major in English and Legal Studies with a minor in Economics. Once I am finished with my undergrad degree, I would like to go to NYU for a law degree and eventually be a lawyer.

All throughout high school, I was involved in my school student council, and held various positions including Social Convener and Co-President. I have planned and helped organize many events, such as dances, semi formals, spirit weeks and a charity event called Cuts for Cancer. I have also volunteered as a leader at camps for troubled youth. For as long as I can remember, I have always had a huge amount of school spirit and have wanted to be a voice for the student body. If elected as Arts Councillor, I would like to make FEDS more accessible to Arts Faculty students by letting students know what FEDS does and how students can become more involved. Also, if elected I would try and make sure that Arts has a voice in all of the decisions made my FEDS. I hope to get as involved as I can throughout my years at Waterloo.

Other than being involved in school, I enjoy reading a lot. I have read many books, and basically read all types of books. Some of my favourites include the Harry Potter series, The Time Travellers Wife, The Weight of Silence, The Glass Castle and anything written by Jodi Picoult. I am also a TV freak. I watch a lot of TV, and love MTV. Along with MTV, I enjoy watching 24, Desperate Housewives, Gossip Girl, Glee, Grey’s Anatomy, How I Met Your Mother and Criminal Minds. The only sport I watch is NASCAR, and I watch it religiously throughout the season.
