Federation of Students Elections

Jesse van Amerom is in his last year of a Philosophy degree. His involvement with the Federation of Students began with his participation in Arts Orientation 2007. Since then, he has continued to be involved by way of the Federation Orientation Committee and the University of Waterloo Canada Day Celebrations Steering Committee. Jesse also currently works at The Bombshelter Pub as a Supervisor and has been employed there since the summer of 2008.

Jesse is running for the Office of President of the Federation of Students because he believes he can affect change. It is his belief that the main problems of the Federation of Students are a lack of efficiency, practicality, and effectiveness. He believes he can spearhead a campaign against these ailments and make the Federation of Students into a relevant organization in the lives of its constituents.
