My name is Arjun. I’m a 3rd year Economics student here at UW and I am running for your Arts Senator. I enjoy getting involved with the school, and raising awareness for different types of causes around campus. I chose to run for this position so I could express myself to the student body before I officially get kicked out of here. Currently, I’m a student director with the Arts Student Union but wish to bring my opinions to the larger stage. My main goal or mission statement, I guess would be to make this school more entrepreneurial. I want to help students see the other side of university life, past the grades and the books, and allow students to try something new with their time here at Waterloo, something that they might not have known before. I want people to see that even though education plays a huge part for most students, it isn’t everything and there is always time to find new interests. I am running for Arts Senator to make sure students experience every opportunity presented to them and graduate, knowing full well, that they got their money’s worth here at UW.
