Winter 2010 ElectionsElection Committee Decision #8-11The elections committee rendered several decisions that they chose to hold off on disclosing as they would not have effected the results and would have been announced after the results were released. Here are the announcements. Election Committee Decision 8: The allegation is as follows: I would like to allege that VP Internal candidate Jenna Goodhand violated Council Procedure 6. Specifically, that she campaigned past the end of the campaigning period, and that she encouraged the practice of voting past the campaign period. The allegation read as follows: I would like to make the following anonymous allegations: Posting RegulationsGENERAL RULESAll printed materials used by campaigns must be 1) approved in advance of posting by the Chief Electoral Officer, and 2) stamped with the approved Federation of Students election stamp. The stamp can be booked through the Chief Electoral Officer; it is the responsibility of each candidate to stamp ALL of their materials prior to posting them. Photocopies of stamps will not be acceptable. Take down of all poster is the responsibility of each candidates and must be done in less than 24 hours following the close of polling. Get Set: Federation of Students' Elections about to startThe Federation of Students would like to announce the end of the nomination period and the beginning of the preparation period for the 2010 elections. Campaigning for the 2010 Federation of Students' elections will begin on January 26th and continue until February 8th at 11:59pm. The polling period will then open from the 9th until the 11th and results will be announced on the 12th in the SLC Multi-Purpose Room. |
